| Just in case some of you haven't noticed, a new menu has been created called Downloads. I have already added a couple of items to that list that is worth checking out. If you have anything you'd like to added, let me know. Currently, there are 2 demos. One with V's first match with BEER and an demo of someone using an AIMBOT. Enjoy! comment on them if you like here or in the download area.

| Definitely an aimbot. The game I use to play before OA I quit because of rampant botting. Hopefully this kind of thing won't become common in OA.

| Today, May 19 around 1:30 pm, our star aimbot user made his appereance at Nemesis. Too bad I wasn't there to get his ip. He was using the nick All and then switched it to somebody. He only played for 5 mins with a killer aim, accordind to Daman. One thing, his gameplay is crap. lol Added (2009-06-02, 8:06 Pm) --------------------------------------------- It seems the aimbot user is playing frequently on oa servers. If he ever decides to make Nemesis one of his favorite servers, I'll just disable the rail gun.

| What???? Is it possible to ban his IP so thats all? I kno ppl just change their IP randomly, but there's a way to keep them banned, i think Jack Thompson or any of the RN guys can help you on that... If I remember well Odigo was trying to do the same when he had his server too, try to ask for any suggestion from him too, hes always on #valherus channel on IRC. I dont think it is fair for all of us if you take rg away

| He states the following: No, what you need are MAC address bans. That way a dynamic IP doesn't help. It however won't get you rid of sophisticated cheaters like me, but it will get you rid of most of them. But the question is: With that many OpenArena players who play "fair", would there be anyone left if you started MAC-banning the cheaters?

| Quote (Alma) He states the following: No, what you need are MAC address bans. Edit: Be nicer... MAC address isn't part of UDP or IP headers so this sort of filtering would only work on a LAN or some other protocol which included it (see wiki link). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address
